Present perfect digunakan dalam dua situasi dan keduanya harus benar-benar dimengerti supaya tidak salah penggunaannya. Yang pertama:
Present perfect digunakan untuk menjelaskan suatu kejadian yang terjadi di masa lampau dan masih berlangsung di masa sekarang. Ciri-cirinya menggunakan since dan for.
Polanya : S + have/has+V3 (kata kerja bentuk ketiga)
Contoh:
I have taught English for 3 years. Artinya: Saya sudahmengajar selama 3 tahun.
(Saya sudah mengajar dimulai dari 3 tahun yang lalu dan sampai sekarang masih mengajar).
My mother has lived in Bandung since 1973. Artinya: Ibu saya sudah tinggal di bandung sejak tahun 1973.
(Ibu saya tinggal di Bandung sejak tahun 1973 dan sampai sekarang masih tinggal di Bandung).
They have studied English for 6 years that’s why their English is very well. Artinya: Mereka sudah belajar bahasa Inggris selama 6 tahun karena itulah bahasa Inggris mereka sangat bagus.
(Mereka sudah belajar bahasa Inggris dimulai dari 6 tahun yang lalu dan sampai sekarang masih belajar).
Nah, sejauh ini bisa dimengerti??? Kalau kurang jelas boleh ditanyakan (Kasih di comment).
Yang kedua, Present perfect digunakan sebagai indefinite past (sudah terjadi di masa lalu tapi waktunya tidak pasti)
Contoh :
I have visited Bali twice, it’s a beautiful island. (Saya pernah mengunjungi Bali tapi waktunya tidak pasti/ tidak disebutkan).
They have had lunch with their big family. (Mereka sudah makan siang dengan keluarga bsar mereka).
My sister has bought the best seller novel. (Saudara perempuan saya sudah membeli novel terlaris).
Bisa disimpulkan bahwa present perfect yang ini digunakan untuk menyatakan ‘pernah’ atau ‘tidak pernah’ / ’sudah’ atau ‘belum’
Coba perhatikan kalimat tanya di bawah ini:
Have you done your homework? (Sudahkah kamu mengerjakan PR?)
Have you met your favorite actor? (Pernahkan kamu bertemu aktor favorit kamu?)
Coba bagaimana anda menjawabnya??? Bisa?? Mudah kannnn….:))

If it was still public with no comments, but you cross-posted entries in a private forum, you could allow people to respond and discuss in a controlled/private environment, but still keep the blog itself public.
