Penggunaan subject pronoun dan object pronoun

Subject pronoun: Disimpan diawal kalimat

I, You, We, They, He, She, It

Object pronoun: Disimpan diakhir kalimat

Me, You, Us, Them, Him, Her, It

Contoh subject pronoun:

1. I like to read novel.

2. You have to go to see your teacher.

3. We don’t like playing football.

4. They are cleaning their room.

5. He must see his boss.

6. She has to finish her works.

Contoh object pronoun:

1. James likes me.

2. Jack is looking for you.

3.  I have three children. I always drive them to school.

4. We visit our grandma every once a month. She loves us.

5. I don’t know him.

6. You have to ask her.

Penggunaan Either or dan Neither Nor


Either or mempunyai arti positif.

Neither nor mempunyai arti negaif.

Contoh penggunaannya dalam kalimat:

Either or

1. Jake either has a dog or a cat.

2. Either Jane or Jill wants to visit England.

Neither nor

1. Neither Bob nor Jake went to the party last night (Bob isn’t going to the party. Jake isn’t going to the party)

2. I could neither play guitar nor piano. ( I Couldn’t play guitar and piano).


Jika kata yang mengikuti ‘neither’ atau ‘either’ adalah tunggal maka ‘verb’ harus tunggal:

* Neither Bob nor Jake is having a party. (kt kerja tunggal)

Jika salah satu kata yang mengikuti ‘neither’ atau ‘either’  jamak, maka ‘verb’ harus jamak:

* Either Jake and his friends are playing football. (kt kerja jamak)
